Even as a little girl I was always fascinated by the beautiful images of the glamorous women and the handsome men I saw on the silver screen, magazines and old photos. These men and women dressed so fashionably from head to toe, so “perfectly put together” always inspired me and made me smile.  At age 14, I bought my first vintage garment, a 1940’s beautifully crafted suit made from linen and silk.  Classic lines, with amazing details of piping and use of asymmetrical lines.  Every dart and seam flawlessly designed to create the perfect fit.  I was in heaven.   I still own that suit and am very proud to say I can still wear it.   As the years went by, I began to collect and wear as many vintage pieces as I could get my hands on.  Dresses, skirts, blouses, sweaters, hats, furs, gloves, purses, jewelry and nightgowns.  Every piece was a treasure, every garment I knew had a story behind it.  I wondered, who was that woman who had bought that amazing 1930’s dress.  Was it part of her trousseau or perhaps a first date?  What was the wedding like in that 1950’s Grace Kelly look alike wedding gown?  Is she still alive, how do I honor her past?  These questions would haunt me as I studied each piece I acquired.  I knew that my passion for the beautiful clothes of the past was something more than a desire to be different, it was becoming an obsession for preserving our past.  As I moved into my adulthood and studied acting, eventually becoming a performer myself, it only reinforced my desire to preserve and maintain our wardrobe history.  I quickly moved into costuming with firsthand knowledge of how wardrobing affects the character you are playing. I instinctively understood that for most people, achieving that perfect era look was an overwhelming task.  And so my vision for helping others recreate a moment in time became very real. 

To say I get immense pleasure from styling my clients in magnificent vintage attire would be a colossal understatement.   This is a supreme passion.  Like an artist with a blank canvas, it is truly inspiring to take each customer on a historic journey and re-create a personal image that inspires you to time travel.  If only for a moment or an evening or for a lifetime, it is my pleasure to take you visually to another time and place.
